-Our Commitment to People & Planet-

At RNN Comms, our vision is to be the voice of bold and brave businesses, brands, and people, while doing good for our team, clients, and the planet. Every day, we strive to deliver meaningful impact for our colleagues, our clients, our communities, and our environment.

“We value our colleagues, our clients, our communities, and our planet.”

We believe that even small actions can create meaningful change. Through this charter, we commit to understanding our impact, setting achievable goals, monitoring progress, and being transparent about our results.

Environment

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact through responsible energy use, waste reduction, and sustainable procurement.

Our core intentions are to:

  • Minimise waste and promote reuse and recycling
  • Reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency
  • Choose sustainable suppliers and materials where possible
  • Engage staff in making environmentally conscious choices
  • Offset unavoidable emissions where practical

Our 2026 targets include:

  • Use only recycled and unbleached paper where possible
  • Reduce energy intensity by 10% by the end of 2026
  • Ensure that 100% of e-waste is diverted through certified disposal
  • Source office supplies from approved eco-preferred vendors in all instances where possible
  • Purchase and use only non-toxic janitorial products where possible

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track energy usage and office waste generation
  • Maintain records of e-waste disposal and eco-friendly procurement
  • Review progress annually and publish results

In addition:

  • At RNN Comms, work-life balance is important to us, so we offer our team the option to work at home one day per week. Although this has many environmental benefits, we understand that by ‘working from home’, we still use energy and materials. We therefore provide our staff with useful tips to help save energy and reduce waste at home.
  • In 2015, we established RNN Green - our renewables division, specialising in PR and communications for companies operating within the sustainable arena.
    • We develop and help to deliver ESG strategies
    • We support clients with their ‘social’ activities
Social Impact

We value our people and our community. Our social commitments focus on four priorities:

  1. Delivery of £10,000 of pro bono support per annum
  2. We gift pro-bono hours to mentoring (King’s Trust) and volunteering (Young Leaders’ Conference and CIPR NI committee)
  3. We offer charity rates to charities and social enterprises.
  4. Maintain JAM-card training for inclusive communication
  5. RNN Team (more of which below)
    1. Professional development plans and training support
    1. CIPR membership and CPD opportunities
    1. Flexible working and four-day week

Our governance approach ensures that RNN Comms remains a trusted, responsible, and forward-thinking organisation that delivers positive impact for people and planet.
