What’s going on in the RNN world
Appropriately named ‘Ludicrous’ the latest addition to the Tesla family is taking the electric car market to another level.
Tesla Pioneer and an RNNGreen Fav, Elon Musk, has just released a new, 100kWh battery pack for the dual-motor versions of the Model S and Model X – making the Model S the first all-electric car on the market with a range of more than 300 miles, and that cuts the zero-to-60 miles per hour interval to just 2.5 seconds!
“For the first time, the fastest car in the world, of any kind, is electric. In the future, people are really going to look at gasoline cars in the same way we look at steam engines today: They’re quaint, but it’s not really how you get around” stated Elon Musk.
Although we LOVE Tesla, competition is mounting in the electric car space as more car makers are racing to release vehicles with longer ranges. Word ‘on the road’ is Volkswagen, is planning to release an all-electric car in October that could have over 370 miles of range, and Porsche is working on a Tesla killer with 300 miles of range that could pop up in showrooms in 2019.
