What’s going on in the RNN world
The UK saw a short glimpse of the automated future this week with members of the public testing a driver-less vehicle on British roads for the first time.
A landmark public trial saw a two-seater, electric-powered ‘pod’ travel two kilometres through pedestrianised areas of Milton Keynes – whilst only reaching speeds of 24 km p/h, it was able to negotiate corners and stop for crossing pedestrians.
This is the first time a self-driving vehicle has been ‘driven’ in the UK and it marks a great advancement in technology and drives an increased awareness to electric cars and electric driving.
That said, still not sure how we feel about this one… would you trust a driver-less car to get you from A to B?
