What’s going on in the RNN world
Three Irish companies have been named finalists in a European-wide initiative called the Climate Launchpad, a green business ideas competition which is aimed at finding good ideas to help reduce harm on the environment.
From a clothes-swap service to stop you splashing out on something you’ll only wear once (The Nu Wardrobe), to a size-calculating onesie which cuts down on e-commerce returns (Size/U) and 3-D printing a cheap irrigation system (AquaRoot Ireland), these three companies are leading the way towards a greener future for business.
Thinking green and thinking renewable, as these innovative businesses are showing, is no longer looked at as an option, but is quickly becoming a necessary part of forward-thinking business practices.
It's inspiring to see more and more companies working to solve problems through innovative, ‘clean’ means and where possible, harnessing the power of renewables.
With the winner announced next week (18th October) let’s hope Ireland gets its first winner!
